Game Board Squares in Infection - Animal Helpers© Version:

     Catch a Disease:
    1. When a player lands on a "Catch a Disease" square, the player must take the top card from the disease card pile. The player now has this disease and keeps the card until cured. If the player already has this disease, the extra card is discarded face up under the disease card pile.

    2. When the disease pile is empty, reshuffle.

    3. All players' disease cards are public knowledge; his cards should be laid out face up in front of the player and may be viewed by other players at any time.

Public Restroom & Community Swim Center:

If no disease is present when a player lands on the square, he may leave one contagious disease at the square. If a disease is present when a player lands on the square, he catches that disease and takes the disease card from the square; he does not leave one behind.

    Brain Transplant:

    1. When a player lands on this square with less than three RED diseases, nothing happens.
    2. If a player has three or more RED diseases, he may choose to have a brain transplant. If the operation is chosen, roll one die: 1 = heal all but one disease (players choice), 2 = heal all but three diseases (player chooses which diseases are cured), 3, 4, or 5 = nothing happens, 6 = catch one disease (these operations are tricky).

Fresh Air, What Sunshine! Restful Ski Lodge:

When a player lands on one of these squares, he is cured of one blue disease of his choice. The cured disease is placed face up at the bottom of the disease card pile.

    Vitamin Overdose:

When a player lands on this square, he places all of his blue and white disease cards face down and mixes them. The player chooses any other player to randomly pick one of the cards. The chosen disease card is cured and discarded. Optional rule - Player cures any one disease.

    Medicaid Check:

Your Medicaid insurance comes through! When a player PASSES, not lands on, this square, he collects $50 for each disease he currently has. If the money is not collected before the next player rolls the dice, the money cannot be collected. Usually a player should collect the money as they pass this square. If a player lands directly on this square, nothing happens. He will collect his money next turn after he rolls the dice and "passes" the square.

    Found $50:

When a player lands on this square, he may choose to take the $50. If he chooses not to take the $50, nothing happens. If the player takes the $50, the player must roll the dice. If the roll is a seven, then the player catches a disease. A roll other than a seven and nothing happens.

    Windy Day!:

When a player lands on this square, the player draws disease cards until a blue disease is found. The player then catches that disease. Any disease cards drawn before reaching a blue disease are discarded. If the player already has the disease, the extra disease card is discarded face up under the disease card pile.

    Oops! You Sneezed:

Give one contagious disease to the player across the table. If no player is directly across the table, the player may give one contagious disease to any player of his choice. Being in a Medical Station does not protect players from The Sneeze.

    Miracle Through Prayer:

When a player lands on this square, he chooses any other player and they trade one disease card. Players choose which of their diseases to trade.

    Snowed In:

The player landing on this square must skip his next turn.

    Family Reunion:

Each player puts his disease cards face down and shuffles. Each player trades one disease card with each of the other players. Trading continues until each player has traded one disease card with each of the other players.

    Christmas Bonus:

When a player passes this square, he collects $100. If a player lands directly on this square, nothing happens. He will collect his money next turn after he rolls the dice and "passes" the square.

Spring Cleaning, A Lazy Day, Holistic Medical Center, Gone Skiing:

Nothing happens. An optional rule may allow the Holistic Medical Center to cure one Blue disease.

    Wino Wants $50:

Player pays $50 or catches a disease.

    Medical Fair:

When a player lands on this square, he chooses a treatment (Specialist, Clinic, Drugstore, or Voodoo). He then draws a CURES card and receives the treatment for free.

    Win Lottery!:

When a player lands on this square, he collects $500.

    Info Center:

The player landing on this square (player A) chooses any other player (player B). Player A draws a disease card and reads either the Cause, Symptoms, or Cure for that disease. If player B cannot name the disease (set a time limit ~ 1 minute), then player B catches the disease. If player B names the disease, then player A catches the disease.

    Vaccination:

The player landing on this square will ignore the next disease he would catch (i.e. when he lands on a Catch a Disease square he would draw the disease card and immediately discard it). The player may choose either to remember he has a vaccination or use a marker, such as turning his playing piece upside down, until the
    vaccine is used.

    Community Outreach:

When a player lands on this square, he draws a CURES card and receives the specialist treatment for free.

    Free Visit:

When a player lands on this square, he draws a CURES card and receives the Voodoo Doctor treatment for free.

    Switch Places:

When a player lands on this square, he selects another player. His playing piece is moved to the square the selected player's piece occupies. The selected player's piece is then moved to the "switch places" square. The turn then ends. During the turn, neither player can give contagious diseases to anyone, nor collect money for passing Medicaid Check nor Christmas Bonus squares.

    Intensive Care:

When a player uses the medical station next to the Intensive Care, the one at the start, he may choose instead to use the Intensive Care. He must then pay $500 and draw an Intensive Care card and receive the treatment. All numbers are rounded up. So if the player has three red diseases, a treatment curing half of your red diseases would cure two of the three.
